Title : X-Ray Technologist

Location : Charleston, SC

Duration : 13 Weeks

Shift : Night, 3x12-Hour (12 : 00 AM – 12 : 30 PM), Saturday–Monday

Job Responsibilities and Requirements :

The X-Ray Technologist is responsible for performing a wide range of general radiographic procedures for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The technologist will provide high-quality diagnostic images to support clinical care while adhering to radiation safety standards.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform general diagnostic X-ray procedures, including chest, abdomen, spine, pelvis, extremities, and skull imaging.
  • Operate portable and C-arm equipment for bedside and surgical imaging.
  • Ensure proper positioning, patient safety, and use of radiation protection protocols.
  • Utilize PACS for image management and Epic for charting.
  • Maintain sterile field and follow infection control and isolation precautions.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and interdisciplinary teams to support patient care.
  • Float to other buildings on the same campus as needed.

    • Required Qualifications :

  • Minimum 1 year of X-ray technologist experience.
  • Certifications : ARRT(R), BLS, and South Carolina Radiologic Technologist license (SCRQSA).
  • Experience with C-arm procedures.
  • Must provide personal radiation badge (facility does not supply).
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience in a teaching or community hospital.
  • Trauma Level II experience preferred.
