Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Tele position requiring a WI or compact license and excellent communication skills.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in an adult Med / Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
  • Evening shifts, five 8-hour shifts per week from 15 : 00 to 23 : 30
  • Every other weekend and every other holiday required
  • No on-call obligations
  • Floating required to adult Med / Surg units, including assisting with CNA and Tech tasks
  • Care for medical flex patient populations that can be cared for on any adult inpatient unit
  • Bed Side Shift Reporting (BSSR), AIDET communication, and hourly rounding are required
  • Compliance attestation for unit requirements will be signed during onboarding
  • Must not reside within a 60-mile radius of the facility
  • Candidates cannot work more than 52 weeks consecutively as a traveler at this location and must take a one-year break after completion
  • Holiday time off requests limited to one holiday if multiple occur during assignment
  • Orientation modules completed during onboarding and tracked in Kronos
  • COVID vaccine is not required for consideration

  • Active WI or compact RN license required at time of consideration
  • Minimum of 2 years Med / Surg Tele experience required
  • Current BLS certification from AHA required
  • Excellent customer service, phone etiquette, and communication skills required
  • First time travelers accepted
