Associate Director, Safety And Asset Protection
The Safety and Asset Protection team is seeking an experienced Associate Director, who will serve as a multi-site safety and asset protection leader supporting regional leadership. You are responsible for driving safe processes and ensuring compliance to all safety regulations. As well as being responsible for providing asset protection and safety expertise leveraging lean principles and hierarchy of controls to ensure the safety and security of our employees and properties. You will coordinate extensively with cross-functional groups such as Operations, HR, Food Safety & Quality, Operational, and others. You will build and deliver on-time programs that support operational growth where experimentation, imagination, innovation, and results are measured.
A successful AD will have strong leadership skills, be detail-oriented, resilient, a quick decision maker, work with data, and possess a commitment to getting things right. You must be highly determined to drive permanent removal of hazard root causes and strive for the highest quality of service is provided in an efficient, effective, and proactive manner. This role will require granular analysis, drive the asset protection and safety functions, site travel and project management. This position affords you the opportunity to build cooperative partnerships with numerous business teams within the fulfillment operations. You will identify trends and areas of risk within buildings and support operations in root cause analysis and corrective measures.
Provide guidance and direction for over the road accidents dealing with 3rd party delivery services. Continuously improve the safety and security culture through instruction and training. You will assess performance, communicate with all levels of management, and ensure safety and security oversight are incorporated into supply chain processes and escalate and report critical issues, compliance gaps and emerging risks for the network. Partner with Operations and warehouse teams as it relates to protective services, investigations, security systems & technology and crisis management. Proactively address issues, drive policies, standards, best practices, and maintain safety subject matter expertise, credentials and engage industry resources as appropriate.
Create weekly business reviews of projects, incidents, trend analysis (if any) and project statuses. Deliver preventative programs and services to protect against persons crimes, threats, emergencies, illegal acts, and property. Implement asset protection and safety awareness, communication, and education for all HFDN locations, employees, and vendors. Proactively develop and monitor reports for root cause analysis and resolution to minimize loss and control failures. Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance. Use continuous improvement principles to identify ways to improve our processes and results. Solicits feedback and identifies benchmarking opportunities within the industry to identify tools, processes, systems and equipment to reduce the risk of injury. The ability to lead a team of asset protection and safety managers both with direct and indirect oversight.

You havePossess a bachelor's degree in safety, criminal justice, military, and / or law enforcement related field. Have 6-8 years' management experience over multi-site areas in supply chain, logistics, warehouse, etc. Completion of security and / or safety certification is a plus. Experience and implementation of 3rd party vendor management, visitor management systems, fleet management, logistics, conducting risk assessments, crisis mitigation and security controls. Effective communication skills. Work both independently and with a team. Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently. Proficiency in Google Suite (Gmail, drive, sheets, etc.). Availability to travel and / or respond to buildings for critical issues.
