Corvid Technologies is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Engineering Document Coordinator to support our vehicle avionics engineering team. This position will support the preparation, control, and archival of technical documentation. The role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and traceability of avionics-related procedures, drawings, test reports, and integration records in support of flight and ground vehicle development programs.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced aerospace environment and be familiar with engineering documentation processes, especially those related to avionics systems, integration, and verification.
Responsibilities may include :
- Collaborate with avionics engineers to assist in drafting, formatting, and finalizing technical documents including test procedures, wiring diagrams, interface control documents (ICDs), and system reports
- Ensure that engineering procedures are completed correctly, reviewed, and approved according to program standards
- Maintain document version control and ensure accurate tracking of changes throughout the engineering lifecycle
- Assemble and manage comprehensive document packages for design reviews, integration milestones, and program closeout
- Support configuration management and ensure alignment between physical and digital documentation
- Coordinate the proper storage and archiving of all avionics-related documentation, ensuring accessibility and security
- Act as the primary point of contact for document control within the vehicle avionics engineering team, interfacing with systems engineering, quality, and program management as needed
- Ensure document consistency with organizational templates, style guides, and data management standards
- Travel up to 15% of the time to customer sites for installations, testing, and support
Requirements :
Candidate must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain (and maintain) a Secret ClearancePosition requires at least an Associates Degree in a related discipline (preferred candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in a STEM related field)2+ years of experience in document coordination or technical writing within the aerospace or defense industryFamiliarity with avionics systems, integration processes, and related documentation practices; preferred candidate will have experience with flight hardware or spacecraft avionicsDemonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and PDF toolsSolid understanding of industry documentation standards such as AS9100, MIL-STD-31000, and IEEE standardsEffective communicator, comfortable working with engineers, technicians, and program stakeholdersKnowledge of electrical schematics and avionics architecture documentation as well as configuration management systems is a plusAbout Corvid :
