Senior Disability Underwriter

A company is looking for a Senior Underwriter, Individual Disability.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate risks and determine insurability and premium classification for individual disability applications

Communicate and negotiate with field force and home office personnel to acquire necessary information and convey decisions

Collaborate with peer underwriting staff and adjacent departments to facilitate the underwriting and administrative process

Required Qualifications

College degree and industry-related education (i.e., LOMA, ALU, CLU) desired

3+ years of Individual Disability Underwriting experience desired

Knowledge of individual disability insurance products and processes

Working knowledge of medical terminology and financial statements

General computer proficiency required
