Advanced Scholars Masters Enrollment Program Director
The Advanced Scholars Masters Enrollment Program Director will be responsible for the management of the Advanced Scholars Master's program initiative, supporting College students in pursuing advanced degrees at the University of Chicago. The Director will oversee all components for 4+1 program administration including full-cycle application management, data tracking, marketing and communications, and stakeholder management. The Program Director will also provide one-on-one student advising to students in the College, guiding their exploration of graduate degree programs and reviewing application materials. They will work closely with team members in Career Advancement to provide updates on Advanced Scholars initiatives, program requirements, and application timelines so information can be disseminated to College students across disciplinary fields. This role will also serve as the lead liaison with University Divisional partners engaged in the Advanced Scholars program. The Director will provide regular updates on application processes, data, and program enhancements.
Responsibilities :
- Works independently to lead Advanced Scholars enrollment efforts including full-cycle application process management.
- Utilizes first-hand knowledge and skills gained from graduate school experience to successfully counsel and advise students interested in pursuing an advanced degree.
- Assists students with application materials including statements of purpose and resumes / CVs.
- Develops and maintains efficient methods to track student data, quantify student engagement, and monitor outcomes progress. Regularly considers and communicates program successes to Career Advancement, ESA, Divisional Partners and University leadership through the creation of memos, proposals, reports, and other written material.
- Oversees the development and implementation of strategic program enhancements to further streamline application processes and integration with Divisional matriculation systems.
- Serves as point of contact for UChicago academic divisions to collaboration on application processes, student engagement levels, and relevant program updates.
- Works with software vendors and campus stakeholders to ensure application systems can easily apply to graduate programs across the University. Works independently to gather and disseminate real-time admissions data.
- Manages marketing efforts for 4+1 programs including developing and disseminating promotional materials, equipping Career Advancement colleagues with program information to share with advisees, and maintaining program website.
- Manages or provides support to additional Career Advancement initiatives as assigned, including student advising, and events.
- Conducts job search and career management related large lectures, hands-on workshops, special events, training programs, and one-on-one career coaching sessions. Acts as a resource for and directs students to other career resources as needed.
- Analyzes markets and trends as they relate to job searches. Assesses student feedback and evaluations and collaborates with other career services staff members, student organizations, or other staff to determine program offerings and innovations.

Minimum Qualifications :
Education : Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.Work Experience : Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 5-7 years of work experience in a related job discipline.Certifications :Preferred Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor's degree or higher.Experience : Career advising or admissions experience with students or young professionals.Expertise in counseling, program development, or a related area.Background working with college-aged students and / or new recent college graduates strongly preferred; developing and managing an internship program a plus.Expertise in program development, or a related area.Technical Skills or Knowledge :
Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.Utilizing Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or other digital platform for meetings and events.Preferred Competencies :
