Job Summary :
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will perform both therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, providing essential images for interpretation by radiologists and physicians. Your expertise will contribute significantly to patient care.
Primary Responsibilities :
Operate cameras that detect and map radioactive drugs in patients' bodies to create high-quality diagnostic images.Accurately position patients and select appropriate anatomic and technical factors.Order, prepare, administer, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to protocols.Adhere to radiation safety procedures and guidelines effectively.Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS.Check equipment functionality and report any malfunctions appropriately.Help maintain a clean and orderly department environment.Work with a constant state of alertness and safety.Perform other duties as needed.Education & Experience :
Completion of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program.No prior experience required.Physical Requirements :
Involves constant standing and walking, with frequent lifting / moving of patients and objects weighing up to 25 lbs.Requires frequent use of vision, hearing, and speech for effective communication and job performance.To a lesser extent, may involve bending, stooping, and occasional lifting of heavier objects.Required Certifications :
Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association.Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or ARRT-N Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification.Why Join Us?
