- Job Description Summary
- The Solutions Architect is responsible for building and maintaining the technical applications that support the healthcare organization’s enterprise data strategy, data management, and governance programs. Our strategy is focused on building the next generation data platform, expanding, and further enabling self-service and advanced analytics for our clinicians, researchers and ultimately for the benefit of our patients. This team is directly involved in building the data management foundation to enable our AI and data-driven vision of our future. This role designs, configures, and supports Informatica IDMC (Intelligent Data Management Cloud), (i.e., Cloud Data Governance Catalog (CDGC), Cloud Data Quality (CDQ), Cloud Master Data Management (CMDM), and other Informatica solutions) to ensure that data across clinical, financial, and operational systems is accurate, governed, and trusted. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with healthcare data solutions, management, and governance principles to support data quality, lineage, metadata management, and regulatory compliance initiatives across the organization. - Job Description
- The Solutions Architect will :
- Tool
- Configuration & Administration
- Configure and administer Informatica IDMC and any other data governance program tools and applications.
- Integrate Informatica tools with core healthcare systems such as Workday (Finance & HR), UKG (Timekeeping), Cerner EMR, and the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW).
- Develop and maintain metadata ingestion workflows, lineage mappings, and automated data discovery pipelines.
- Manage user roles, access permissions, and security compliance within Informatica tools.
- Establish methods and procedures for tracking data quality, completeness, redundancy, compliance, and improvement.
- Partner with Infrastructure and Security teams to ensure system reliability and data protection.
- Data Management, Governance & Metadata
- Collaborate with Data Stewards and Business Owners to define and maintain business glossaries, data dictionaries, and data domain definitions.
- Enable lineage and traceability of key healthcare and research data assets including patient, provider, encounter, claims, and financial data, and various unstructured data.
- Support automation for metadata collection and curation from cloud and on-prem systems.
- Design and build master data management and optimize ongoing operations.
- Establish and manage cloud, application, and data integrations.
- Data Management, Quality & Compliance
- Develop and operationalize data quality rules for clinical, research, financial, and HR datasets.
- Support remediation processes for data issues and monitor improvement trends over time.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and organizational data governance policies.
- Participate in meetings, as needed, as the technical subject matter expert.
- Collaboration & Documentation
- Document governance architecture, integrations, and data flow diagrams.
- Assist in training, onboarding, and support for Data Stewards and governance tool users.
- Reporting Relationships
- Reports to the Director, Data Governance and collaborates closely with the Data Engineering, Data Analytics, and Clinical Informatics teams.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
- Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or computer engineering, or in a related area (data science, mathematics, statistics, economics, etc.) with demonstrated proficiency in the skills below.
- Qualifications / Experience
- 10+ years of data, applications, or solutions design, development, operations and / or architecture
- 5+ years SQL experience
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and team collaboration skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of HIPAA and ability to implement data security standards in line with those requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets, and relational databases, modern data architectures, and unstructured data sources.
- Knowledge and experience in developing ETL processes. (5 yrs)
- Strong communication skills, particularly those relevant to translating highly technical information for non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and see through long-term projects.
- Proactive work habits such as proposing and developing new projects and initiatives or advocating and promoting incremental adoption of data governance policies and procedures.
- Preferred / Optional
- Experience in healthcare, rehabilitation, or academic medical center environments with familiarity of clinical workflows, research data, and healthcare quality metrics.
- Strong understanding of healthcare data, analytics architecture, AI / ML applications, and healthcare data standards (HIPAA, FHIR, HL7, ICD-10, SNOMED, LOINC).

- $110,805.00 annually - $183,925.00 annually
