Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A skilled Registered Nurse with expertise in operating room procedures is needed to support surgical services in Anchorage, Alaska. This 13-week contract position offers an opportunity to work in a high-functioning operating room environment at a well-equipped hospital, focusing on complex orthopedic and robotic-assisted surgeries.

Responsibilities include :

  • Supporting surgical teams during a wide range of procedures such as total joint arthroplasty, multi-level spinal fusions, and cases using advanced robotic systems like the Da Vinci Xi.
  • Preparing and managing operating room equipment.
  • Advocating for patient safety and delivering high-quality perioperative nursing care.
  • Participating in on-call rotations averaging five to six shifts every four weeks, including some weekday and weekend coverage.

Qualifications and Experience :

  • Active RN license with operating room nursing experience.
  • Certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) is required.
  • Proficiency with Da Vinci Xi robotic systems and orthopedic and neurosurgical spinal fusion procedures.
  • Familiarity with total joint arthroplasty surgeries.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Demonstrated patient advocacy and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Work Schedule :

  • Day shift : 6 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM.
  • On-call duties as outlined above.
