Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Project and Manufacturing Engineer role based in Burlington, WA. Our client is a well-established industry leader known for innovation and a commitment to delivering the highest quality products. With a focus on continuous improvement, they pride themselves on maintaining excellence at every stage of their manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Support the development, improvement, and validation of high-volume automated manufacturing processes.
  • Track and report on yields, scrap, and OEE; lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Execute process development and continuous improvement initiatives under the direction of leadership.
  • Apply SPC (Statistical Process Control), DOE (Design of Experiments), Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies to drive efficiency and quality.
  • Develop and maintain PFMEA, control plans, SOPs, SWIs, and Value Stream Maps (VSM).
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support projects with a focus on timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Troubleshoot automation, robotics, and plant controls, including PLCs (Control Logix).
  • Provide coaching and training to teammates, fostering a culture of problem solving and accountability.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in high-volume automated manufacturing.
  • PV or electronics manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Proven experience with yield analysis, OEE tracking, and corrective actions.
  • Strong foundation in SPC, DOE, Lean / Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Familiarity with PFMEA, SOPs, SWIs, and control plans.
  • Knowledge of automation and robotics; ability to troubleshoot PLCs and plant controls.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Proactive problem solver with ownership mentality; experience coaching or training others.
  • What We Offer :

  • Monday – Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM schedule, with necessary overtime as needed.
  • This role reports directly to the Process and Manufacturing Engineering Manager (or Director of Operations in the interim).
