Senior Geotechnical Engineer

As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will work on a variety of geotechnical projects that include utilities, mining, transportation, commercial, industrial, oil and gas, and other green-energy related projects with our Mid-Atlantic Geotechnical Engineering group through expert technical guidance, and team leadership. You will apply relevant design criteria, standards, and processes to deliver high-quality engineering tasks. This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects, with significant career growth potential for the right individual. This hybrid role is available in Cranberry Township, PA Bridgeport, WV and New Cumberland, PA.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with internal and external multi-discipline teams to prepare proposals and execute projects.
• Design and construct subsurface elements including foundations, ground improvement applications, stabilized slopes, pipelines, grading and drainage schemes, and trenchless technologies.
• Prepare geotechnical reports, drawings, and specifications for foundations and earthwork for a wide range of projects including, retaining walls, mass transmission lines, and mass pipelines.
• Formulate engineering analysis including soil and rock classification; shallow and deep foundation capacity, immediate and consolidation settlement; slope stability analysis; geohazard evaluation; ground improvement; and earth retention systems.
• Manage project staff and offering guidance and technical expertise.
• Safely coordinate and execute field exploration programs, construction observation, and associated documentation.
• Support the entire construction phase of projects.
• Positively interact with client representatives.
• Develop and manage project scope, project budgets, work breakdown structures, and schedules.
• Make technical recommendations and decisions within project scope.
