Job description

Our Company

At Teradata, we believe that people thrive when empowered with better information. That's why we built the most complete cloud analytics and data platform for AI. By delivering harmonized data, trusted AI, and faster innovation, we uplift and empower our customers-and our customers' customers-to make better, more confident decisions. The world's top companies across every major industry trust Teradata to improve business performance, enrich customer experiences, and fully integrate data across the enterprise.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will help lead the technical strategy, planning, and execution of Teradata's cross-functional engineering and AI initiatives. You will support alignment between architecture, product management, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions that power Teradata's VantageCloud and ClearScape Analytics platforms.

You will apply a data-driven approach to technical program delivery-ensuring execution predictability, operational excellence, and quality outcomes across the software and systems lifecycle. Success in this role looks like effective delivery of programs that advance our platform capabilities, accelerate AI adoption, and enable innovation across the company.

You will also use foundational AI skills to explore and implement ways AI can enhance productivity, innovation, and impact across our workforce.

Who You'll Work With

You'll work across Teradata's Engineering, AI, Analytics, Apps, and UX organization to ensure programs are executed with clarity, visibility, and technical integrity. You'll partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, Architecture, Cloud Operations, and UX teams to deliver key product and infrastructure capabilities. You'll also engage with Security, Compliance, and Customer Support to ensure readiness and adoption.

This role reports to the SVP Engineering, AI, Analytics, Apps, and UX, and will play a key role in driving alignment between product vision and technical execution.

You'll collaborate with colleagues who share a commitment to leveraging AI responsibly, ensuring our people and customers benefit from the opportunities AI creates.

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline

  • 5+ years of experience managing software or cloud engineering programs, ideally in a global or cross-functional environment

  • Solid understanding of software and systems architecture, development lifecycles, and cloud-based delivery models (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS)

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver technical initiatives using Agile or SAFe methodologies

  • Foundational AI skills and the ability to understand how AI can be applied to improve outcomes in your area of expertise

What You Will Bring

You bring a balance of technical knowledge, program leadership, and strategic thinking. You are comfortable translating business goals into executable technical roadmaps and can communicate effectively across engineering, product, and executive audiences. You have hands-on experience with software development or infrastructure delivery and understand the nuances of scaling distributed systems.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • PMP/PgMP or equivalent (or progress toward certification)

  • Experience supporting programs involving AI, data analytics, or cloud platforms

  • Familiarity with compliance and security frameworks such as FedRAMP, ISO 27001, or IRAP

  • Experience using Aha, Jira, and Confluence for program tracking and visibility

  • Curiosity, leadership, and a passion for how AI can unlock potential-helping our teams, our customers, and our communities achieve great things

  • Visionary thinking and strategic foresight.

  • Inspirational leadership and talent development.

  • Operational discipline and attention to detail.

  • Customer-centric mindset and partnership orientation.

  • High EQ and collaborative influence.

  • Innovation mindset and resilience in fast-moving environments.

  • Deep technical expertise and business acumen.

Why We Think You'll Love Teradata

We prioritize a people-first culture because we know our people are at the very heart of our success. We embrace a flexible work model because we trust our people to make decisions about how, when, and where they work. We focus on well-being because we care about our people and their ability to thrive both personally and professionally.
