Schedule

Shift : Day, 4x10-Hour shifts (07 : 30 – 18 : 00)

Call Required : Yes

Expect 8-10 call days per month , including one Saturday work shift per month .

30-minute response time required for call-backs. Sleep rooms are available.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

Experience Required :

Minimum 1 year of recent IR / Angio experience.

Vascular experience is required.

First-time travelers ARE accepted.

Radius Rule : Traveler must live at least 100 miles from the facility (locals accepted outside this radius).

Licensure & Certifications Required :

BLS (Basic Life Support)

ARRT (R) (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography)

FL State License (required at time of submission; pending licenses are not accepted).

Preferred Qualifications :

ARRT Advanced Certification (VI preferred, but will train Neuro interventional).

Experience in a Community Hospital setting.

Charting System : Cerner EMR experience is preferred.

General Skills Preferred : IV Starts, Phlebotomy, C-Arm operation.

Required Clinical Skills

The IR Tech must be proficient in a wide range of Interventional Radiology procedures, including but not limited to :

Category

Required Procedures

Vascular

Angiograms, Angioplasty, Peripherals, Stroke Thrombectomy, Endovascular Interventions, TIPS, Upper and Lower Extremity Angiography, Dialysis Graft Interventions (Creation / Revision / Declots).

Oncology / General

Ablations, Embolization, Stent Placement, Nephogram, Kyphoplasty, Liver Biopsy, Chest Tube Placement, Gastrostomy Tube Placement, Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) filter placement.

Neuro

Carotid Angiography, Embolization, Stent placement, Thrombolysis / Thrombectomy.

Other

Contrast administration, PACS operation.

Unit Information :

Rooms : 4 procedure rooms (3 with Biplane capability; 3 Siemens and 1 GE).

Case Mix : Wide variety, including Stroke Intervention , Neurointerventions, PE Thrombectomy / Thrombolysis, DVT interventions, pain management, and complex Oncology procedures (Y-90, MAAs, chemoembolizations).

Facility & Compliance Details

Setting : Short Term Acute Care / Level II Trauma, Level I Peds Trauma

Patient Ages : Neonates, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics (Adolescents preferred).

COVID-19 Vaccine : Required (Medical or Religious Exemptions Only accepted).

Smoke-Free Facility.

Charting : Cerner is the primary charting system.

Floating : Yes , clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs (no floating to sister facilities).

Scrub Color : Black or Navy.

Time Off : RTO is not accepted in the contract and must be worked out with the unit manager on-site.
