Medical Assemblers Needed
Candidates will be responsible for assembling cauterizing surgical instruments in a cleanroom environment. This position involves reading processes and maintaining documentation accurately.
Responsibilities :
Assemble medical devices on two or more product lines, meeting or exceeding the standard rate.
Demonstrate understanding of Quality System Policies through written line procedures.
Complete and maintain accurate records of manufacturing operations on production documentation.
Follow instructions from supervisors or leads regarding priorities, work schedules, and job standards.
Adapt to changes in procedures and learn new procedures due to product line and technology modifications.
Cross-train on various product line operations as needed.
Assist Assembler III or Lead in training procedures.
Proactively inform leads or supervisors of material shortages.
Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety guidelines and policies.
Use time effectively, avoiding idle conversation and staying focused on tasks.
Volunteer in Shared Leadership activities such as Kanban Management and Metrics Board Maintenance.
Perform all other essential duties as directed.
Essential Skills :
1 to 2 years of previous medical device assembly or ISO certified assembly experience.
Ability to communicate effectively via telephone, email, and in person.
Understanding of verbal and written work instructions.
Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Ability to work in a clean room environment and follow its practices and procedures.
Perform repetitive work according to set procedures and pace.
Knowledge of Good Documentation Practice, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Lean Manufacturing is preferred.
Fine motor skills and high degree of dexterity and eye coordination for assembling small parts.
Ability to operate manufacturing and measurement equipment following training.

Work Environment :
This position is within a Medical Device Company and involves working in a full cleanroom environment. Employees must wear a hair net, gown, and booties, and wash hands before entering the cleanroom. The environment requires no make-up.
Job Type & Location :
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brooklyn Park, MN.
Pay and Benefits :
The pay range for this position is $20.80 - $22.88 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
