The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for handling the patient intake and flow and coordinating all appointments and scheduling with the practice and doctors. This role is vital and requires a high level of attention to detail and organization in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Job Function :
Schedule, authorize and send pertinent medical records / orders for appointmentsMaintain a positive and friendly attitude and deliver excellent customer service to patientsCoordinate patient schedule and flow for the practice and maintain schedules with accuracy and attentivenessBe receptive to training and coaching on best practicesMaintain an organized working spaceCoordinate with other team members and doctors as needed for scheduling issues or questionsOther duties as required as they relate to the positionKnowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Understanding of best practices in the industry as it relates to schedule coordination and patient intakeExcellent customer service experienceHave excellent written and oral communication skillsCompassion and high level of service for our patients, parents, and staffIntegrity, always doing the right thingDependable, reliable to be at work when scheduledAttention to detailAble to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlinesProfessional manner and appearance at all timesComputer skills : Microsoft office and Web BrowserTelephone skills : Proper telephone etiquette and information gathering skillsEducation and Experience
