Senior Estimator Mechanical / Structural

Position Summary :

Our client is seeking a Senior Estimator to join their Houston-based team. This is an exciting, high-impact opportunity for an experienced civil estimator ready to take on a leadership track with a clear path toward the Estimating Manager role as the current manager transitions in the coming years.

Youll play a critical role in preconstruction, leading estimating efforts across mechanical, civil, concrete, and structural scopes, while collaborating with internal stakeholders (up to the CEO of our organization) and our respective project teams to deliver accurate, timely, and competitive bids.

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for industrial mechanical, concrete, structural, and select civil scopes.
• Conduct quantity take-offs, analyze drawings / specs, and develop project budgets.
• Collaborate with operations and field teams to ensure alignment between design intent and cost assumptions.
• Manage subcontractor outreach, pricing comparisons, and bid evaluations.
• Implement and improve estimating processes, systems, and technological improvements.
• Support business development efforts through conceptual estimating and client-facing proposal support.
• Serve as a mentor to junior estimators, preparing to take on departmental leadership.
