Jewish Community Council of Greater Coney Island’s Cure Violence Program works to prevent gun violence by 1) mediating conflicts that may end in gun violence, 2) changing the thinking of individuals who are most at risk of being victims or perpetrators of violence, and 3) working closely with a broad coalition of local partners to promote a visible community-wide message that shooting is unacceptable behavior.
JCCGCI’s Mental Health Services provide therapeutic and social-emotional support to youth and families affected by community violence, aiming to strengthen connections to community networks and promote culturally grounded behavioral change. The program offers individual and group therapy, supports trauma recovery, and addresses issues like depression, anxiety, and PTSD. It also works in coordination with other programs to connect participants to resources, build the capacity of local providers, and foster community-led approaches to public safety and mental wellness.

This position is Part-Time, 20-24 hours per week with a hybrid schedule.
Comprehensive benefits package.
Pay : $40.00-$45.00 per hour.
