  • Pay : $32.00-$35.00 per hour (DOE)
  • Shift Days : Monday through Friday
  • Shift Times : Start Times may vary as early as 7 : 00am to 9 : 00am; 8 hour shift
  • Start Date : As Soon As Possible!
  • Duration : 19 Weeks Initially

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent Required.
  • Medical Assistant Diploma from an approved school
  • BLS - Basic Life Support required (AHA)
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as Medical Assistant
  • Preferred

  • A minimum of 1 year experience in Orthopedics
  • EPIC Experience
  • Medical Assistant Certificate
  • Responsibilities

  • Prepare exam rooms and ensure availability of necessary equipment, supplies, and patient information (lab results) prior to visit.
  • Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and the coordination of care during patient encounters.
  • Perform direct patient care, including room, taking vital signs, weights, administering medications, vaccines, injections, and conducting waives testing (glucose, urine dipstick, EKGs)
  • Administer medications per protocol and only after verification with licensed personnel.
  • Process prescription refill requests and follow established guidelines.
  • Collect and send lab specimens according to clinical protocol and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Schedule, edit, and maintain appointment for clinical visits and radiology, ensuring accuracy in the scheduling system.
  • Accurately collect and input patient demographic and insurance data; ensure authorizations and verifications are completed prior to visits.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe clinical and administrative areas.
  • Provide compassionate, responsive service by addressing patient inquiries, acting as a liaison, and support patients through the care process.
  • Communicate patient concerns, symptoms, or changes promptly to licensed clinical staff and assist with patient messaging as needed.
