About the Clinician's Workday
The required procedures and duties include esophageal dilatation and manometry, interpretation of esophageal manometry, small bowel biopsy, lower GI endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, liver biopsy, and insertion / management of Sengstaken / Blakemore tubes. Providers will also perform endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and upper GI endoscopy with a variety of interventions, including biopsy, foreign body removal, cautery or laser for bleeders, variceal injection and banding, ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic), and PEG placement. On average, providers perform eight procedures per weekend across GSI, Hepatology, RGA, Surgery, Colon, EGD, and ERCP cases. Estimated credentialing timeframe is approximately 90 days.
