Google accountants are a savvy bunch who handle the core accounting responsibilities at Google. You know your accounting principles and the full accounting process end to end. You'll advise on financial reports required by governmental regulations, and review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports. Every day is a new challenge, and you're continually looking for ways to help our team become more efficient and effective. A team player at heart, you collaborate with our global team, advocate best practices and pitch in where needed. You move fast while keeping your attention to detail, and you tap into your problem-solving skills to support business objectives. In this role, you will partner with product, engineering, and sales teams through design and implementation of product enhancements across Google's core business (digital advertising). You will build accounting processes to support the cultivation of the core business growth-generating areas. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $102,000-$146,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities :

• Design, implement, and manage global processes for the accounting of Ads business growth, including contra-business growth accruals, sales allowance, deferred business growth, and the related balance sheet reconciliations.
• Partner with engineering and other cross-functional business partners to define, establish, and implement accounting systems, processes and procedures. Review processes and implement controls to ensure mitigated risk for Google.
• Perform month-end close processes, including agreement review, processing payments, and preparing / posting journal entries. Prepare and present financials to management and support with any Ad-hoc requests from cross-functional teams.
• Identify opportunities and implement programs to centralize, eliminate, automate or send out activities. Work with providers to send out established or mature processes and manage ongoing activities.
• Work through accounting implications and confirm we can operationally support business agreements. Provide accounting guidance to sales, product and other cross-functional teams.
