The Coordinator of Public Engagement & Protocol supports high-level executive leadership and key stakeholder engagement opportunities at domestic and international events to further the USOPC’s mission of advancing the Olympic and Paralympic Movement. This role is pivotal in ensuring the organization’s leadership is well-prepared for strategic interactions with domestic and international government officials, sports leaders, and organizational partners through the curation of detailed research, thoughtful insights, and strong logistical coordination.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, possesses excellent communication and research skills, and demonstrates cross-cultural acuity. This position will manage and maintain databases tracking protocol engagements, oversee the gift inventory and selection process in compliance with organizational and diplomatic frameworks, and support the creation of high-quality briefing materials. The coordinator will also provide logistical and administrative support for executive participation at major events, including the Olympic and Paralympic Games, and assist in hosting dignitaries and delegations from federal, state, local and international governments as well as international sports organizations.

Here’s how you’ll have an impact :
- Maintain and update comprehensive databases tracking all protocol engagements, stakeholder interactions, and relevant cultural notes, ensuring accurate, accessible records that support institutional knowledge and planning.
- Draft, edit and revise briefing materials for executive leadership, ensuring precise, appropriate tonality and design.
- Conduct in-depth research on international affairs topics related to upcoming engagements to include background on global leaders, countries and customs.
- Oversee the protocol gift inventory and provide informed gift recommendations in alignment with organizational policies and the strategic significance of the engagement.
- Provide remote administrative and logistical support for engagement activities at major events, including the Olympic, Paralympic, Pan American, Parapan American Games and General Assemblies.
- Coordinate travel, schedules and meeting logistics for executive leadership.
- Manage the Global Engagement's team’s outreach efforts through extensive correspondence and tracking to key stakeholders.
- Support hosting responsibilities for visiting delegations, including government representatives and international sports leaders.
- Assist in the planning and execution of high-level government delegations to the Games and other high-profile visits.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align event and engagement plans with organizational priorities.
- Monitor event and travel timelines, flagging any potential conflicts or issues.
- Support on-site execution at non-delegation events to ensure schedules run smoothly.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the Global Engagement & Government Affairs team.

Hiring pay range $22.65 - $28.85This Full-Time, Non-Exempt position is intended to work 40 hours per week.Bonus : This position will be eligible for the Annual Incentive Award Program, which has a 5% target.
