Description :

Looking for a Telemetry Registered Nurse.

The position requires working three 12-hour shifts per week from 7 AM to 7 : 30 PM.

Every other weekend shift is required.

This unit currently consists of two floors with a total of 42 beds.

The acuity level is classified as Telemetry rather than PCU / Stepdown.

Future plans may include the transition of one floor to a Stepdown unit.

Required certifications include BLS and ACLS.

The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 5 for both day and night shifts.

Charge Nurse responsibilities vary day-to-day; there may be a "floating" Charge Nurse between the two floors.

Current staffing includes Patient Care Technicians, but staffing levels may fluctuate.

Weekend and holiday work will be based on unit needs, with an expectation of flexibility from travelers.

Scrub color required is navy blue with specific guidelines for jackets and undershirts.

Telemetry monitors are Phillips Cardiac Monitors, with documentation responsibilities for nurses.

Common diagnoses include elevated troponins and various cardiac issues.

The charting system used is Epic.
