Our Company is seeking a Product Development Manager  that will lead efforts to identify, develop, and launch new aluminum-based products that align with market opportunities and company growth objectives. This position plays a critical role in expanding American Metals Supply's product portfolio by researching applications where aluminum can replace or improve existing materials, collaborating with mills, and guiding the sales team with new product introduction from concept to commercialization.

Product Development Manager Responsibilities :

• Market Research & Product Identification
• Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify existing or emerging products that could be manufactured from aluminum.
• Evaluate potential markets and applications for aluminum conversion and innovation.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to assess market demand, pricing, and competitive positioning.
• Product Feasibility & Development
• Work closely with CAD drafters and engineers to design and model new aluminum products.
• Conduct feasibility analyses, including material selection, mill capabilities, production costs, and profitability projections.
• Oversee product take-offs, specifications, and performance requirements.
• Collaborate with mills and manufacturing partners to ensure product viability and production efficiency.
• Sales Product Launch & Sales Support
• Develop and maintain detailed product documentation, drawings, and technical literature.
• Support sales team with product knowledge, training, and selling strategies.
• Assist in creating marketing materials and technical bulletins to communicate product benefits and applications.
• Provide post-launch analysis and continuous improvement feedback on product performance and customer adoption.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
