Description
VPFW is hiring full-time Provider Medical Assistants to join our clinical department and float across office locations. A provider medical assistant works side-by-side with a physician to provide nursing functions using established procedures and standards to assist with OB / GYN patient appointments and procedures.
Requirements
Essential Functions :
- Interview new patients and record patient information
- Assist with patient exams and procedures
- Request diagnostic testing and communicate results to patient in a timely manner
- Stock and clean exam rooms
- Ensure all required written forms, computer documentation, and patient medical records are completed in a timely manner
- Administer injections and medications
- Coordinate prescription orders with pharmacy and patient
