The employee functions as a second-line administrative supervisor of nursing activities of registered nurse managers. Assists the Nurse Executive with administrative tasks and the development of nursing policies, standards and delivery systems to ensure quality nursing care. Directs / coordinates departmental quality improvement / assurance activities. Coordinates nursing investigations. Participates in departmental decision-making and assumes administrative role in the absence of the Nurse Executive. Responsible to the Nurse Executive. Supervises and evaluates nursing staff and participates in recreation therapy.
To be considered for this position you must :
Required Education and Experience :
Education : Completion of a degree in nursing or nursing school educational program accepted for registered nurse licensure by the Michigan Board of Nursing.
Experience : Two years of experience equivalent to a Registered Nurse 12 or a Registered Nurse Manager 12, or one year equivalent to a Registered Nurse 13 or a Registered Nurse Manager 13.
Additional Requirements and Information :
Possession of a Michigan registered nurse license in good standing.
