Job Summary and Responsibilities

Position Summary:

This position performs a wide variety of technical and manual tasks in the Operating Room under the direction of Surgical Services In accordance with the mission and philosophy of Dignity Health the Operating Room SPD Technician is a professional who assumes responsibility and accountability for his/her contribution toward the assessment planning implementation and evaluation of care for patients and their families. Job Requirements

Minimum:

• One year of full time experience as a central service technician.
• Six months experience in processing and assembly of surgical instruments.
• Experience requirement may be waived for individuals who have successfuly completed a Central Services Technician (CST) externship at Sequoia Hospital.
• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• Central Service Technician certification by a recognized Central Service Organization.
• CT CST or CT SPT required.
