Accountant - Leasing
Responsible for preparing financial reports, analyzing financial information and other accounting duties for assigned areas of Progress Rail.

Education / Training :
- Accredited BS Degree in Accounting or Finance

Manage daily and monthly accounting activities of leasing business including monthly lease invoices, accounts payable and tax reportingReconcile and ensure accuracy of balance sheet accounts; maintain detail supporting schedulesComplete month end close process, including journal entries, SOX reports and account reconciliationsReview accounting processes for accuracy and potential for improvementAssist in preparation of monthly financial forecasts and budgetsPrepare management summaries and lease testing for new lease opportunitiesPrepare requested documents for Sarbanes Oxley complianceEnsure compliance with company policies related to finance and human resourcesQualifications and Experience
3 to 5 years accounting experienceHighly proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)ERP LN software or other accounting systems knowledge a plusStrong analytical skills and general knowledge of accounting principlesProven interpersonal and communication skillsSelf-motivated / Detail-oriented / sense of urgency / follow-throughAbility to multi-task, work independently, and work effectively in varying environmentsEssential and Physical Activities Functions
Strength-Position typically involves work in a standard office environment. Occasional standing and walking.
