Job Summary :
The Feeder / Finishing Packer (Forming Packer Inspector) plays a vital role in the production process by ensuring optimal machine operation, maintaining high product quality, and supporting a safe, efficient work environment. This position is essential for minimizing waste, maximizing productivity, and upholding strict sanitation and food safety standards. The role directly impacts the overall performance and output quality of the Finishing Department at the Tulare, CA facility.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare forming machines for daily operations, including glue tanks, cases / trays, and blanks
- Attach and record all material load tags on daily production reports
- Monitor machines continuously to minimize waste and downtime
- Notify Forming Technician of any required machine adjustments
- Inspect products regularly to ensure they meet quality standards
- Perform sanitation and preventative maintenance as outlined in departmental procedures
- Assist teammates on other machines to maximize department performance
- Clean machines and work areas at shift end, preparing for the next shift
- Ensure proper disposal of waste materials according to company guidelines
- Strictly adhere to company policies, GMP, HACCP, and food defense programs
