Job description

The Supervisor Radiology-Nuclear Medicine provides leadership, supervision and coordinates department activities, ensuring safety to both patients and staff. Directs all human resource functions of the department with include; overseeing training and ensures staff competencies, ensures safe staffing levels, interviews potential candidates for Nuclear medicine and PET / CT positions. Assists in managing productivity and operating budget to meet department, organizational and patient safety goals and ensures regulatory compliance. Supervisor Radiology-Nuclear Medicine, at times, may need to perform Nuclear Medicine to cover open shifts, ensure patients are cared for timely and to work on assignment as needed. The Supervisor Radiology Nuclear Medicine ensures ongoing monitoring of departmental indicators, service requests and PI activities, reports activities as directed. The Supervisor Radiology- Nuclear Medicine responds to the needs of the department by performing as a Nuclear Medicine technologist duties when needed. Supervisor Radiology Nuclear Medicine over sees all Nuclear Medicine and PET / CT sites. Works hand in hand with the RSO and acts as RSO in their absence. Supervisor Radiology-Nuclear Medicine provides afterhours operational direction and rotates this responsibility with all Imaging services supervisors. HICS and disaster training will be provided.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Completion of two years formal Nuclear Medicine approved program, as evidenced by being credentialed with certification in Nuclear Medicine from ARRT or CNMT

2. Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Nuclear Medicine technologist.

3. RSO Experience preferred

4. ACR or IAC accreditation experience preferred.

5. Experience in other medical imaging settings preferred.

6. Strong verbal and written skills preferred.

7. Current BLS (AHA) certificate required.

8. ACLS certificate preferred.

9. Comprehensive Knowledge of Federal, State and Local regulatory standards for Radioactive materials, record keeping of radioactive materials and DOT training are required.

10. Sexual Harassment training within 90 days of hire and annually thereafter

11. State license if required
