Responsibilities Hospital Med / Surg unit with a focus on complex post-operative surgical patients Night shifts from 7 : 00PM to 7 : 30AM, three shifts per week Cares for surgical patients with needs such as new tracheostomies, wound vacs, and new ostomies Uses EPIC EMR, prior EPIC experience is required Collaborates closely with the general surgical and OMFS residency teams Provide post-operative and complex wound care, tracheostomy monitoring, and ostomy education Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary surgical team including resident physicians RTO (requested time off) may not exceed 7 days within a 13-week contract Travel partner requests are not accepted for this assignment Returning travelers may not work more than one year continuously and must observe a six-month break before returning Requirements Active Illinois RN license in good standing; temporary licenses accepted Current American Heart Association BLS certification required Minimum of one year relevant Med / Surg nursing experience Previous experience in a Level 1 Trauma setting required Associate degree in nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred EPIC charting experience required Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-621456.
