Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring a MA RN license, Epic experience, and strong critical care skills.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hospital-based Cardiac Catheterization Lab
  • Care for cardiac patients before, during, and after catheterization procedures
  • Day shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM, 3 shifts per week
  • On-call required one shift per week from 7 : 00 PM to 6 : 30 AM
  • On-call rotation every 5-6 weekends for 48 hours, from 6 : 30 AM Saturday to 6 : 30 AM Monday
  • Uses Epic EMR and Epic experience is required
  • Responsible for all phases of care in the Cardiac Cath Lab including pre, intra, and post-procedure responsibilities
  • No maximum on allowable return time, but former perm staff may not return as travelers
  • No limit on local candidates, but those residing under 50 miles may receive a reduced rate
  • No more than 7 days of requested time off (RTO) are allowed during the assignment
  • Blue scrubs are a safe choice for attire
  • COVID-19 medical and religious exemptions are accepted
  • Two professional references from the past 12 months are required for consideration

  • Active MA RN license or temporary MA RN license required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications that do not expire within 30 days of assignment start
  • Minimum 2 years of documented Cardiac Cath Lab RN experience
  • Critical care experience required
  • Competency in Cath Lab pre, post, and intracath care
  • Familiarity with the Cardiac Cath Lab checklist
  • Experience with Epic EMR is required
