Area Vice President (AVP) Texas

Maxim Healthcare is currently seeking an Area Vice President to oversee our Texas area. The AVP role requires facilitative management characteristics, including significant leadership, conflict resolution, government relations, analytical and negotiation skills.

The AVP is responsible for supporting and collaborating with the organizational infrastructure including quality improvement, compliance, clinical, human resources, legal, finance, utilization, systems, program and service development, marketing, and public relations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Functions as an effective liaison between Executive Leadership, Office Administration, and key stakeholders
  • Supports and serves on key committees
  • Mentors, advises, and coaches talent for succession planning
  • Develops and implements effective strategies for employee retention
  • Networks and collaborates with colleagues to promote and ensure employee satisfaction
  • Encourages team building and engagement
  • Oversees talent management and performance evaluation for Area employees
  • Represents the company and its services in the marketplace, legislative arenas, and related healthcare associations
  • Develops relationships with key decision makers within the healthcare community
  • Develops and directs community relations and marketing initiatives
  • Develops and implements innovative business strategies, which enhance market share, expand growth, and improve overall performance
  • Participates in the development of the financial budget and drive budgetary goals
  • Champions the Company's mission, vision, values and business strategies
  • Works with leadership teams throughout the organization, serving as a resource to help reduce costs, enhance revenues, achieve effective utilization and quality goals and objectives, analyze and utilize information to develop and support management decisions
  • Manages revenue cycle management for assigned territory
  • Fosters a culture of compliance
  • Maintains compliance with contractual terms and all applicable Federal, State, and local regulations, Company policies and procedures, Accrediting Organization standards, and reimbursement guidelines
  • Analyzes and identifies compliance trends and develop appropriate strategies to enhance compliance
  • Ensures a safe environment for reporting compliance issues
  • Develops, implements, and analyzes success of initiatives to improve patient safety
  • Develops and fosters effective collaboration between offices and affiliated services to ensure an integrated approach for providing quality patient care services, and fulfilling the Company's mission, vision, and business strategies
  • Ensures quality patient care
  • Monitors office infrastructure to ensure appropriate staffing levels to provide quality patient care
  • Develops Area initiatives to promote and enhance patient satisfaction
  • Consistently models the company's philosophy of customer service and compliance
  • Performs other duties as assigned / necessary

Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelor's Degree / RN required, Master's Degree preferred
  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state, if a Registered Nurse, minimum of five (5) years of proven leadership experience in healthcare or related health programs
  • Knowledge of healthcare requirements and third-party reimbursement
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience with multi-site management preferred
  • Ability to effectively elicit / provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills required; proficiency in the English language may be required
  • Computer proficiency required
  • Compensation :

    $130,000-$160,000 plus bonus potential
