Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract to hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the St. Louis and Kansas City areas.

We are currently seeking a Software Engineer II to join a client team.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain custom software applications and system integrations.

Build and support back end services, RESTful APIs, and microservices to meet business requirements.

Troubleshoot and provide technical support for existing applications and newly deployed features.

Collaborate closely with quality assurance, user experience, and other cross functional teams to ensure alignment on requirements and solutions.

Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code across multiple code bases.

Apply coding standards, best practices, and modern development techniques.

Develop and execute unit and automated tests and resolve defects.

Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Quickly understand existing code and contribute in alignment with established conventions.

Create and maintain technical documentation related to system architecture and application design.

Stay current on emerging development trends, tools, and technologies.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.

Three or more years of experience designing and developing back end services and APIs.

Hands on experience with C#, .NET Core, and Node.js.

Experience working with relational databases.

Familiarity with modern software development practices, including version control and work tracking tools.

Experience with deployment, provisioning, and automation tools.

Strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud based development platforms.

Exposure to containerization technologies.

Experience supporting scalable, distributed systems.

Demonstrated interest in continuous learning and technology advancement.
