Responsibilities

• Script, produce and edit vertical video for platforms including YouTube, TikTok and Instagram, as well as AP's website and app.
• Develop content from trending soundbites and breaking news to reporter-driven explainers and in-the-field dispatches; closely follow the news cycle to proactively identify stories and moments of interest to audiences.
• Monitor livestreams and cut highlights for the live blog, YouTube and APNews.com.
• Reporting to the deputy director for digital and social video; role can be based in New York, Washington, D.C., or Los Angeles.
