Inventory Manager
Responsibilities :
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of raw materials and components
- Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy
- Conduct perpetual inventory monthly
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components
- Comply with pricing and terms with suppliers as negotiated
- Place orders for materials based on production schedules and inventory levels
- Manage the receiving, storage, and distribution of materials
- Coordinate with the production team to ensure the timely availability of materials
- Provide real-time updates on material availability and potential shortages
- Assist in troubleshooting material-related issues that may impact production
- Maintain accurate records of material transactions, including receipts, transfers, and usage
- Prepare and submit regular reports on inventory levels, material usage, and procurement activities
- Receive new orders into the system, coordinating with production, and closing delivered orders.
- Serve as a direct backup for plant manager duties, maintaining workflow continuity in the absence of key personnel.
- Coordinate and communicate material replenishment between stock locations and production areas to ensure seamless operations.
- Set up Bill of Lading (BOL) documents for daily ring production based on customer service-provided production reports.
- Manage and execute material stocking transactions to ensure proper inventory control and accurate records.
- Assist the plant manager with issues regarding site environment, safety, housekeeping, and clerical issues.
- Fill out production paperwork accurately and monitor output goals around efficiencies, downtime, inventory, and overall production.
- Works with the Production lead to ensure vacancies are covered for any planned / unplanned.
- May conduct tooling components inventory reviews to ensure proper tools and / or parts are available for use in the event they are needed.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Manager to support team operations.
Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalent; degree or higher in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is preferredProven experience in inventory management, procurement, or logistics, preferably in a manufacturing environmentStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and negotiation abilitiesProficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to lift and move materials as requiredAbility to identify issues and implement creative and strategic solutions to overcome problemsPay : The range is $60,000-$80,000 annually. Exact salary offered will depend on candidate's experience, work location, skills, etc.
