Job descriptionPatient Demographics : 90% Adults, 10% Pediatrics Patient Volume / Census : Approx. 2 labor epidurals / day, with variable surgical caseloads post 7 PM Admissions : Not applicable Rounding : Not specified Phone Consults : Not applicable Case Mix : General, Cardiac, OB, Pediatrics, Neuro No. of Beds in Department : Not specified Trauma Level : Level II EMR System : Cerner Office Equipment Available : Standard Anesthesiology equipment Specialty Backup Available : CRNAs, 9 MDs onsite Support Staff Available : CRNAs (supervised 99% of time), nursing staff Reason for Coverage : Turnover Vacancy Hospital Privileges Required : Yes Temporary Privileges Available : No Credentialing Timeline : 90 days Rate : TBD Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES General Anesthesia Cardiac Anesthesia (Bypass, TEE, open heart surgeries) OB & Pediatric Anesthesia Basic Ortho Blocks MUST PROVIDE NPDB self-query at presentation Licenses : PA or eligible for PA medical license (highly prefer active license or IMLC letter in hand) Board : BC / BE in Anesthesiology (Board Eligible within 3 years of residency) MUST be Anesthesiologist trained and able to perform Cardiac Anesthesiology TEE certification not required but highly recommended DEA : Active DEA Certification Certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS Experience : Minimum 1 year, with recent (within past 2 years) cardiac anesthesia experience; must be competent and comfortable with the full range of cardiac cases including bypass, TEE, and open-heart surgeries MUST be comfortable with all cases including Cardiac, OB, Pediatrics, and General MUST be willing to take call shifts in addition to regular day shifts (indicate in presentation) Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across General, Cardiac, OB, and Pediatric cases Supervise CRNAs (99% of time) with hands-on care as required Participate in night and weekend call coverage Perform procedures including cardiac bypass, TEE, and open-heart cases Collaborate with surgical teams and hospital staff to ensure patient safety and quality care Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and specialists across various healthcare settings, gaining insights and perspectives that enrich your professional practice.
