Job description

As a Palliative Care Massage Therapist, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our patients, offering comfort and relief during their most challenging times. You will travel to patients' homes within our service area to deliver compassionate massage therapy tailored to individual needs.

Hours : Part-time or Casual, 1-2 days a week with a flexible schedule during daytime hours.

Your responsibilities as a Palliative Care Massage Therapist will include :

  • Conducting initial evaluations to assess and identify each patient's needs.
  • Providing comfort touch massage therapy services per physician's orders and the interdisciplinary group (IDG) plan of care, focusing on hospice and palliative care approaches.
  • Completing and submitting accurate and timely documentation of therapy services provided.

    • Qualifications necessary for this position :

  • Successful completion of a post-secondary course of study from an accredited / accredited school for Massage Therapy.
  • A minimum of one year of Massage Therapy experience is required.
  • Prior experience in hospice massage therapy is preferred.
  • Must be able to travel within a designated geographic area. Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and proof of auto insurance are required.
