Director of Unified Communications & Collaboration and Contact Center Specialized Sales Team
The Director of the Unified Communications & Collaboration and Contact Center (UC&C-CC) Specialized Sales Team is responsible for managing and growing new revenue in this specialized product portfolio. This Director manages and leads a team that is accountable for the overall customer acquisition, revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and churn reduction across Lumen's UC&C and CC business in the State, Local, and Higher Education (SLED) business unit. The Director will be responsible for ensuring their team aligns with the regional Sales Leaders to meet UC&C-CC sales and revenue goals. This role establishes go-to-market plans for UC&C and CC base revenue management and growth which include revenue forecasts, growth strategies, process optimization initiatives, and retention plans.
The main responsibilities include :
- Regional territory development, account planning, target setting, and ensuring that sales targets are met through KPI's and metrics reporting.
- Leading sales team focused on solutioning, quoting, and ordering Lumen UC&C-CC products and services to accelerate Upsell and Acquisition sales motion across the SLED market segment.
- Coordinating with the Customer Success / Engagement organization to ensure the customer is onboarded and maintained appropriately through the customer journey.
- Coaching and developing talent pool within team members to upskill on consultative sales, new technology, AI capabilities, product features and compliance alignment to achieve sales targets and performance goals.
- Participating in Unified Account Planning with other business leaders to establish strategic plans and objectives.
- Working on complex administrative, management and customer issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of customers, employees and Lumen policies and procedures.
- Acting as a point of escalation with appropriate peer organizations for effective and prompt issue resolution.
- Collaborating with Product Management and Solution Partners to develop go-to market sales strategies around competitive pricing, deal registrations and joint selling motions.
- Managing sales funnels to analyze and manage pipeline activity and monitor sales activity against assigned quotas.
- Participating in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people.
What we look for in a candidate includes :
Minimum of 5 years of experience in leading teams selling complex IT infrastructure solutions to public sector clients.Experience supporting Public Sector with knowledge and understanding of contracts, compliance and government procurement.Attention to detail.Prior successful management of a quota bearing sales team, specialized sales management experience preferred.Strong leadership skills and demonstrated success in coaching teams to apply consultative selling techniques to opportunities.Proven and verifiable track record in exceeding sales quotas.Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize.Strong communication skills and presence in communicating with Executives.Demonstrated level of success in the development of high-level client relationships.Demonstrated experience working with complex Voice, Collaboration and Contact Center solutions of the following strongly preferred : Zoom, Cisco Webex, Microsoft Teams, Lumen Cloud Voice, SIP, Legacy TDM, Genesys Cloud CX, Talkdesk and Managed Services.Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to present in both small and large group settings.Must have a polished, professional presentation.Acquire and integrate industry knowledge related to general trends, emerging technologies, and competitors.Compensation : This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
Location Based Pay Ranges : $132,300 - $176,400 in the following states : AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY. $138,915 - $185,220 in the following states : CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI. $145,530 - $194,040 in the following states : AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA
