Senior Microbiology Medical Technologist

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Microbiology Medical Technologist to join our laboratory team in Asheville, NC. In this role, you will perform a variety of microbiological testing and analysis to support patient care and clinical decision-making. This position offers a competitive hourly rate with opportunities for professional growth.

Location : Asheville, NC

Pay : 22-38 / hr. depending on experience

Responsibilities :

• Perform routine and complex microbiology testing, including culture setup, organism identification, and susceptibility testing.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Ensure accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of test results in compliance with laboratory quality standards and regulatory requirements (CLIA, CAP, etc.).
• Document results and maintain detailed laboratory records.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to provide accurate diagnostic information.
• Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures.
