The Roads and Highways Practice is seeking a Senior Roadway Design Engineer in Salt Lake City, UT. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter, bringing a wealth of experience and technical expertise to a range of multi-disciplinary projects. As a project engineer, you will leverage your specialized skills to perform engineering calculations and design, transforming innovative concept designs into detailed construction drawings and comprehensive technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design and Drafting : Design, prepare, and oversee the development of comprehensive roadway plans utilizing Bentley's Open Roads Designer software. Verify that all designs align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Construction Documentation Preparation : Prepare, review, and modify detailed construction documents, technical reports, specifications, and accurate cost estimates for various projects, confirming thoroughness and clarity.
• Quality Assurance : Conduct technical reviews and implement DEA's quality assurance and quality control procedures, maintaining high standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Site Engagement : Actively participate in project meetings and conduct site visits and field inspections as necessary to maintain project alignment with design specifications and client goals.
• Post-Design Support : Provide critical post-design construction support services, addressing contractor Requests for Information (RFIs), conducting submittal reviews, assisting in as-built preparation, and performing field observations to maintain design integrity during construction.
• Project Collaboration : Collaborate effectively with project teams on all aspects of project execution, including project set-up, drafting, design, quality review, and project coordination and organization.
