Control Room Engineer – Inwood, WV
Logoplaste is currently seeking a Control Room Engineer to join the plant team in Inwood, WV. The Engineer is responsible for monitoring the HBW, Pickup / Delivery and Plant Systems reliability for the plant and supporting assigned management with all aspects of the HBW & AGV activities including troubleshooting issues, driving improvements and project activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Work in a safe manner to prevent injuries to self and co-workers and proactively identify and address unsafe conditions.
- Follow Lockout / Tag out Policy and ensure the safe and efficient operation of all equipment to meet or exceed company established OEE expectations and customer quality expectations.
- Supervise a team to meet company expectations in Safety, Quality and Productivity.
- Oversee control room operations, identify needs, ensure compliance with procedures and train staff as required.
- Monitor HBW & AGV software to ensure order completion, troubleshoot delivery issues to find expedited resolution, process equipment and maintain documentation to support process changes.
- Proactively address inefficiencies of equipment, continually evaluate equipment for improvement areas and tag components or parts that need repair, replacement or improvement as outlined in the TPM guidelines.
- Develop and evaluate options and implement solutions, communicate problems, progress reports and continuous improvement ideas to management staff, maintenance and production personnel, complete the appropriate documentation required by all work orders.
- Promote and participate in good housekeeping habits to ensure plant appearance exceeds management and customer expectations.
- Perform tasks as outlined by Delivery Systems Manager.
Qualifications
High School Diploma (or GED / High School Certification); Technical College Degree Preferred.2-5 years relevant experience in control room, supervision or a similar technical area preferred.Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills; ability to clearly communicate technical system issues.Knowledge of troubleshooting sensor, controls and DC batteries for automated WMS; ability to perform complex problem solving and troubleshooting.Previous experience of time studies and working with packing machines preferred.Experience in continuous improvement projects for efficiency and throughput study highly desirable.Able to work independently, identify problems and improve; work well under pressure; prioritize multiple projects and complete in a timely manner with limited supervision.Good interpersonal skills; able to work flexible and / or extended hours and weekends as business demands; able to remain in a stationary position for various times throughout the shift, able to move or traverse in manufacturing area safely, ability to ascend / descend a ladder or stairs, must be able to see information postings throughout the facility.Ability to drive a forklift and achieve certification.Technical Skills
Good working knowledge of computer systems; MS Office and SAP familiarity working with drives, plc, system communication and analytical reporting experience.Ability to quickly learn computer systems to monitor equipment activities and troubleshoot issues.Interpersonal Skills
