VP, Head Of Strategy

Nasdaq is searching for a dynamic, visionary and analytically driven VP, Head of Strategy to shape the future of its Capital Access Platforms division. In this high-impact position, you will architect and drive transformative strategies that fuel the division's growth ambitions. With direct access to senior management and an influential voice in the organization's most critical decisions, you'll help propel the CAP Division into its next era of excellence. Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Working closely with the divisional leadership team, lead the development of Nasdaq's strategy and long-term strategic priorities including new growth vectors that will maximize shareholder value.
  • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, emerging technologies, and competitive threats.
  • Gather intel on competition, regulation, and market trends in support of our strategic choices.
  • Translate strategic priorities into actionable initiatives and measurable outcomes.

Corporate Development & Innovation

  • Partner with M&A, Ventures, Corporate Strategy, and Business teams to assess inorganic growth opportunities.
  • Support innovation efforts across the division, including AI-driven advancements.

    • Executive Advisory & Thought Leadership

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to CAP leadership team.
  • Prepare high-impact presentations and materials for executive and investor audiences.
  • Partner with division and business unit leaders to drive unified voices on strategy topics.

    • Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with Finance, Technology, Product, and Marketing teams to align strategy with execution.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing strategy team, fostering a culture of curiosity and excellence.

    • We are searching for a candidate who demonstrates executive presence and is able to work effectively in ambiguous situations. You should have a proven track record of strategy development as well as execution. In this role you will be asked to effectively manage, lead, and coach direct and adjacent teams. You should be confident influencing others without direct authority and collaborating across the organization. Our ideal person thrives in a fast-paced setting with strong financial discipline.

    Qualifications :

  • 12+ years of experience in strategy, management consulting, investment banking, or corporate development.
  • Proven track record of leading strategic initiatives in a global, matrixed organization.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • A strong understanding of capital markets, financial services, and fintech is preferred and will go a long way in the success of this role.
  • Experience leading and managing a high-performing team of strategists.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.

    The base pay range for this role is $225,000 - $275,000. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus / commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to : skill set, experience, education / training, business needs and market demands.
