Liability Claims Specialist

Waste Connections is currently seeking an experienced Liability Claim Specialist to join our Risk Department. The position is based at Waste Connections Corporate office in The Woodlands, Texas.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee claims management activities of Third-Party Administration including investigations, reserve adequacy, settlement evaluations and claim resolution strategy
• Assist field locations in administration of liability claims, subrogation recovery of claims and small property damage claims
• Perform a variety of risk management administrative functions including data collection, report generation and financial analysis
• Attend mediation and / or trials and participate in settlement negotiations on claims
• Attend claim reviews and other claim related events
• Ability to handle complex litigated cases
• Strong investigative background necessary
• Coordinate claim activities with other company departments including Human Resources, Safety, Operations, Accounting and Legal
