Facilities Technician (L2)

• Responsibilities :
• Effectively maintain plant equipment, primarily related to manufacturing kitchen appliances and refrigeration equipment.
• Learning to balance other distribution center equipment at the FreshDirect Campus.
• Execute the plant preventive maintenance program.
• Proficient with conveyor system machinery to support the maintenance team and / or train others as needed.
• Strong working knowledge of all facets of manufacturing equipment and procedures.
• 3-4 years of repair and maintenance experience in Industrial or commercial kitchens.
• Technical education related to mechanical engineering or equivalent experience is required.
• Exceptional ability to work independently without direct supervision and take
• Read and understand electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Working knowledge of three phase motors and control circuits.
• Mechanical experience with varied kitchen, refrigeration, and distribution center machinery is desired.
• OSHA safety certification is a PLUS.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• In a workday : standing / walking 8-12 hours
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Hand use : single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
• Work requires the following motions : bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
• Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to work in a wet and cold environment.
