Preventive Medicine & Occupational Health Physician (M.D. or D.O.) BaySport Preventive Health Division | Los Gatos, CA Specific Need – Hollister, CA. Commitment - 3 full days over the course of one month around late spring/early summer About Us BaySport is a leading provider of preventive medicine, physical therapy, and corporate health services. With over 100 corporate clients, BaySport has developed many clinic and worksite-based programs aimed at improving employee health and reducing employer health costs. From corporate wellness program and fitness center management to biometric screening services, executive and occupational physical examinations, and injury management services, the BaySport staff is able to help participants return to activity, identify health risks and make lifestyle adjustments to reach their health goals. BaySport’s Preventive Medicine division delivers physical examination services at our clinic locations in Los Gatos, San Francisco and Redwood Shores. We also provide on-site physical examination services for local Fire Departments at their fire stations. Performing testing on-site for these first responders provides an ease for the personnel to have their medical physical exams performed while they are on duty. We currently have contracts with eight local fire departments and one local Task Force. Some departments are clearance for duty based, others are strictly voluntarily for their own wellness & education. Physician Responsibilities The BaySport Preventive Medicine Physician would be a member of our Preventive Medicine team who’s in-person clinical service offerings include annual executive and occupational examinations. The exam process also includes additional physiological testing and ancillary services performed by Masters-degreed clinical exercise physiologists (blood and urine sample acquisition, electrocardiograms, treadmill stress test evaluations, vision screenings, audiometry, pulmonary function testing, body composition, peripheral vascular screening, vaccine administration, etc), lifestyle consulting and/or wellness coaching to reduce disease risks and optimize overall health. This is a part-time or “as needed” position that would be based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The upcoming specific need (June/July) will be in Hollister, CA. Responsibilities include: Physical examination services including health history and multi-system review Resting electrocardiogram interpretation Exercise electrocardiogram interpretation (not required, but preferred) Interpretation of laboratory testing and physiological testing results Exam report review Excellent patient interaction Deliver on our brand of uncompromising service DOT Physical Exams (not required, but preferred) To provide our clients with the best experience, we are asking for the following requirements: Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, or Preventive Medicine Licensed to practice medicine in the State of California Currently residing in the San Francisco Bay Area Current Malpractice Insurance, preferred Current certification in CPR/AED/ACLS Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills Ability to foster a team approach for success of all programs Interest and/or expertise in lifestyle, integrative and/or functional medicine desired Medical license is in "good standing" with no marks against it BaySport Mission Statement "To provide simply the best fitness, disease prevention, and injury management services to individuals and corporate clients."
