Job descriptionConduct sick call and patient rounding Perform chronic and preventative care procedures and follow-ups Participate in preventative care clinics Complete infirmary rounds for internal medicine cases as needed Triage and manage trauma cases Document patient encounters through charting notes Manage medication refills Support PA / NP lines in the morning (suture removal, follow-ups, etc.) Address medication non-compliance issues with patients Pennsylvania PA license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Correctional healthcare experience is a plus EMR system : Other Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities Whether you need long term coverage for your practice, short term vacation coverage, or anything in between – you can trust Barton Associates to provide the flexible staffing solutions your organization needs to thrive. About The Position
We are seeking a Family Practice Physician Assistant for a locum tenens assignment in Pennsylvania. This full-time opportunity starts on Nov 24, 2025, and spans 65 days, offering day shifts from 8am to 4 : 30pm, Monday through Friday. The role includes a variety of primary care responsibilities in a medium security correctional facility.
