Location : Reno, NV 89521 (Nevada ICU nursing jobs)

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Facility : Medical Intensive Care Unit (8 beds)

Start Date : October 6, 2025

End Date : January 5, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 3x12 hour nights (18 : 45 - 07 : 15)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1880 - $2020

On-Call : Not required

Holiday Requirements : Work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Eve + Day = 1 holiday)

Floating : May float to Med / Tele, ED / GSU, or other ICUs as needed

Additional Shifts : Ability to pick up an extra 12-hour shift every 4 weeks

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Nevada RN license (must be obtained prior to start date)

BLS (AHA) certification required

ACLS (AHA) certification required

NIHSS (APEX) certification required

Minimum 2 years of recent Medical ICU nursing experience

Travel nursing experience preferred

Key Responsibilities for ICU RN

Deliver high-quality patient care using the nursing process for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including intensivists and critical care staff

Float to Med / Tele, ED / GSU, or other ICU units as needed to support hospital staffing

Serve as Rapid Response RN when assigned as Charge Nurse

Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and critical thinking in a high-acuity environment

Provide patient and family education and support throughout the care episode
