The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Utah is seeking candidates for a faculty position as a Nocturnist Hospitalist in the clinical track. Faculty rank is dependent upon the qualifications of the applicant.

We are an extremely high-performing, low-turnover hospital medicine group that is passionate about teaching and about hospital medicine as a career.

  • Diverse and complex patient mix at an academic medical center drawing from a five-state region of the Mountain West

  • Choose between multiple practice settings : tertiary academic center, nationally-recognized NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, community hospitals
  • Extensive career possibilities within the group allow the individual to shape their career based on personal interests and goals. Opportunities include teaching, leadership, QI, research, procedures, thrombosis, addiction medicine, global / rural health, palliative care, informatics, ethics, and utilization review
  • Approximately 10 shifts per month with highly flexible scheduling

Minimum Qualifications

Medical degree, eligible for Utah Medical License, and ABIM eligible

Preferred Qualifications

ABIM certified in Internal Medicine
