Job Title : Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Hybrid, 1099 Contractor)

Location : Hybrid – Remote & In-Person

Employment Type : 1099 Independent Contractor

Practice : Briggs Psychiatry & Behavioral Health, PC, Greenville, SC

Our team specializes in supporting individuals navigating a range of psychiatric conditions, and we’re looking for a seasoned Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our growing practice in a hybrid, flexible contractor role . Individual must be willing to travel between multiple locations.

Position Summary :

We are currently seeking two Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with at least 5 years of clinical experience to provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing care to a wide of patients. This role offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement, combining telehealth services with in-person visits .

Responsibilities :

  • Perform initial psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management.
  • Diagnose and treat a wide spectrum of mental health disorders in adults and adolescents.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate care with other providers as needed.
  • Provide psychotherapy referrals when appropriate.
  • Utilize secure telehealth platforms for remote sessions.
  • Maintain timely and thorough documentation in the electronic health record system.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications :

  • Active and unrestricted PMHNP license in [Insert State, or “state of practice”]
  • Minimum of 2 years post-licensure experience as a psychiatric nurse practitioner
  • Current DEA license with ability to prescribe controlled substances.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Proficient with telehealth tools and EMR documentation
  • Nursing home experience a plus
  • Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
  • Ability to manage a flexible schedule with self-discipline and professionalism.

  • 1099 Independent Contractor Position
  • Competitive compensation based on client volume.
  • Malpractice coverage not provided (contractors must carry their own)
  • Must have collaborating physician licensed in SC.
