Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with a current NH or compact license and recent trauma experience.

Responsibilities

  • Position is in an acute care hospital operating room
  • Work schedule is day shifts, 40 hours per week
  • Call required during evenings, holidays, and weekends
  • Five primary OR suites with additional OR in labor and delivery
  • Patient population includes inpatient and outpatient surgical cases, ranging from infants to geriatric patients
  • Surgical procedures include primarily ortho and trauma, with occasional ENT, cataract, and C-section surgeries
  • RN to patient ratio is 1 : 1 in the OR
  • Willingness to be trained in ENT, cataract, and C-section procedures is expected
  • Work as part of an interdisciplinary surgical services team including RNs, RN first assists, CSTs, and assistive personnel
  • Equal participation in call rotations for evenings, weekends, and holidays is expected
  • Training will be provided for ENT, cataract, and C-section procedures if not already experienced
  • No consideration for local applicants within 75 miles of the facility

    • Requirements

  • Active NH or compact state RN license required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Must have recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma OR experience within the past 2 years
  • No local candidates; must reside at least 75 miles from the facility
